BERN - A parliamentary committee opened hearings on FINMA's toolkit a day before the more famous capital talks with UBS. Several deputies said the Credit Suisse collapse showed a gap in early intervention. Bank lobbyists said the gap was in courage, not in the statute book.
A December parliamentary report had already landed in that split. Economiesuisse repeated that Switzerland needs a strong UBS, not a unique capital cage.
