BERN - Fifty-two days before the 27 September ballot, both camps on the neutrality initiative increased their August events. Pro Suisse stayed with independence and 1815. The government camp stayed with sanctions, partnerships and the claim that a rigid clause would weaken security.
Early canvassing still finds voters protective of the word and sceptical of the paragraph. That gap is where the next seven weeks will be spent.
