Nuclear Ban Heads to the Floor With a Referendum Already Promised

BERN - Deputies prepare on Wednesday to lift the ban on new nuclear plants that voters approved in 2017. Energy minister Albert Rosti calls the option an insurance policy for winter electricity if renewables and imports are not enough for net zero by 2050. Green leaders have already said they will launch a referendum.
