Spring Motions Keep the Nuclear Ban on the Desk Without Lifting It

BERN - Motions on Switzerland's ban on new nuclear plants returned in the last full week of the spring sitting. Supporters said renewables will not cover a midwinter evening in 2040. Opponents said every month spent on nuclear is a month not spent on grids, Alps solar and efficiency.

The milder power-import picture that would arrive in April did not change the speeches. It never does. Winter fear is the fuel. Spring water is the pause.
