Emmental Producers Watch Milk Prices as Mercosur Talks Continue

LANGNAU - Dairy producers in the Emmental said May milk prices were stable enough to plan, and not generous enough to relax. Cooperative meetings still ended on Mercosur. Beef and wine quotas from the South American pact are not a milk file, but they are a farm-union file, and that is the room these producers sit in.

Direct payments remain the other half of the income. Any federal Sunday that talks about food security, later in September, will be heard here as a prices conversation.
