BERN - SVP speakers said 38 percent for a fee cut was a warning to SRG, even in defeat. SP and Green leaders said the climate fund's 29.3 percent was a message about design, not about denial. The Centre and FDP claimed the 54.3 percent yes on individual taxation as proof that bourgeois reform can still pass.
The cash map pleased the government: the initiative at 45.6 percent yes failed, the counter-proposal at 73.4 percent passed in every canton. Ministers called that a Swiss outcome. Cash campaigners called it a half-measure.
Session resumes
The spring sitting continues through 20 March. Deputies will now argue about money that did not appear on Sunday's papers, including army files that return in August.
