Polling Stations Open on a Five-Item Federal Sunday

BERN - Polling stations opened across the country on Sunday morning for five federal items. In many communes the staff had already processed a majority of votes by post. The people who still come in person are often older, or undecided, or both.

The Federal Chancellery's list is long: Cash is freedom, the cash counter-proposal, 200 francs is enough, the Climate Fund, and individual taxation. Clerks said they were repeating the order out loud more than usual.
