ZURICH - The 32nd Street Parade rolled on Saturday from Utoquai in Seefeld around the lake basin via Bellevue, Quaibruecke and Buerkliplatz toward the Enge harbour dam. Sound started at 13:00. The first Love Mobile moved at 14:00. The official end for the convoy was 22:00, with stages until midnight.
City police described the crowd as large and the incidents as the usual mix: heat, alcohol, a few fights that did not become a headline. VBZ suspended several lines and ran extras on the rest.
A second Saturday with a brand
Residents along the route left town or bought earplugs. Both strategies are traditional. Monday's bins will be the civic epilogue.
