BERN - The Federal Assembly opened its summer session on Monday, sitting until 19 June. The National Council's early papers include the EFTA-Mercosur agreement. Both chambers have the nuclear-ban reversal toward the end of the sitting. In between, on 14 June, voters will decide a population cap and a civilian-service law.
President Guy Parmelin treated the opening as government business. Party leaders treated the corridors as an extension of the 10 million campaign.
A Sunday that will leak
Whatever happens on 14 June will leak into the nuclear speeches of the following week. The session closer is here.
