Final Week of the 10 Million Campaign Turns on Housing and Labour

BERN - The last full week of campaigning on the Sustainability Initiative split along a single picture: a housing queue. SVP speakers said 10 million residents by 2050 is a ceiling the country can still choose. Economiesuisse and hospital directors said the ceiling would show up as empty rotas before it showed up as empty flats.

The Federal Council's line remains that the cap collides with treaties and with the labour the welfare state already cannot find. That sentence is long. It has to beat a number.
